It’s only Wednesday, and we’ve already published two Alicia Silverstone stories this week. Homegirl is kicking butt!

After reading Silverstone’s book The Kind Diet, actress Sophia Bush has decided to start working towards a more vegan diet.

“I’m slowly trying to do the vegan thing, so I’m not really a vegan yet but I’m working on it,” said the 28-year-old actress. “My family is Italian (and) my whole life has consisted of great meat and great cheese. I read Alicia Silverstone’s book and I’m trying some of the recipes out.”

It’s no surprise to us that Bush has an interest in veganism. We spoke with the star briefly at PETA’s 30th Anniversary Gala and Humanitarian Awards in Los Angeles and were excited to learn that she’s an avid animal lover. We’re sure she’ll do great with a vegan diet.

Do you have any veggie cookbooks that Sophia should check out? Leave a comment and her know your favorites!
