Sheep Sent Back To Slaughterhouse After Daring Escape

More than 100 sheep and goats gave police a run for their money Tuesday night after escaping from a slaughterhouse in Lackawanna, New York.

Unfortunately, rather than trotting off to greener pastures, employees and officers spent the night rounding up the escapees and corralling them back to the plant.

The owner isn’t sure how the animals got out, but says he’s checking the latches on all the fence gates.

Let’s just hope this act of sheep bravery inspires a Disney movie with a much happier ending. Video of the nighttime escape after the jump:

Why Vegetarianism Makes No Sense From A Moral Perspective

I don’t consider my years as a vegetarian as a stepping-stone or prerequisite to veganism

I hope I win the ‘Pig Farmers of Tomorrow’ contest I entered (I’m vegan)

I think I’ll likely have the most interest in pigs of anyone applying, anyway.

Hopefully Jon & Tracey Stewart use their new farm for vegan education

They’ve promised classes on caring for animals and sustainable agriculture, so vegan 101 would be a great place to start.
