Remember that climactic scene in the movie Zombieland where the heroes fight off swarms of the living dead inside a creepy, abandoned amusement park?

That’s this place. But in real life. And minus the zombies. For now.

A brave soul entered The Six Flags amusement park in New Orleans, shut down and abandoned since just before Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. Mother Nature is slowly taking back the remains — but it’s humans that will eventually put an end to it. The entire park is scheduled for demolition in January of 2011.
