Ellen DeGeneres is raising cash for the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) with a special “Laugh.Dance.Rescue” t-shirt.

As many know, DeGeneres is a passionate animal lover and has worked closely with the HSUS on numerous campaigns, including Proposition 2 — legislation that requires farm animals be kept in cages large enough to lie down, stand, turn around, and fully extend their limbs.

“People need to understand that animals are thinking, feeling beings who have a right to a free life,” said DeGeneres

The “Laugh. Dance. Rescue” shirts are available exclusively on Ellen’s website, and after the HSUS’s recent victory in Missouri passing Prop B — a statewide ballot initiative to establish basic standards for the care of dogs in large-scale commercial breeding facilities — we think everyone needs one of these.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
