Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have joined other celebs like Taye Diggs and Ana Ortiz in a new series of PSA for the organization Feeding America.

In Damon’s video, the 40-year-old pretends to play a man named Steve struggling to put food on the table and wondering what his neighbors must think. He then turns off-camera to the real Steve to inquire on his performance; who then offers him some acting tips. Damon quips, “I have an Academy Award!”.

Affleck’s vid is no less effective — but hits hard at the cold facts surrounding hunger in America; where an estimated 49 million people just get by each day. To learn more how you can help the organization, check out the official Feeding America website here. The two PSAs are available after the jump.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
