Want to prepare a delicious plant-based, planet-healthy Thanksgiving dinner but don’t know where to start? Fear not! Ellen DeGeneres wants to help.
Last week on her show, Ellen welcomed personal chef Roberto Martin to teach everyone how to make a scrumptious vegan Thanksgiving dinner.
During the segment, Chef Martin prepared a faux turkey roast with wild mushroom gravy and paired it with vegan stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes, and cranberry sauce. Of course, Thanksgiving dinner wouldn’t be complete without a dairy-free pumpkin cheesecake.
As Ecorazzi previously reported, DeGeneres is the 2010 spokesperson for Farm Sanctuary’s Adopt-A-Turkey Project — an annual program that educates the public and offers a compassionate alternative for Thanksgiving.
Says DeGeneres, “Save a life this Thanksgiving, and join me in starting a new tradition by adopting a turkey instead of eating one through Farm Sanctuary’s Adopt-A-Turkey Project.”
