Actor George Clooney has a long history of risking his life to draw attention to the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Sudan.

In the new hour-long special, “Winds Of War: George Clooney In Sudan,” NBC’s Ann Curry travels with Clooney to Southern Sudan and documents the brutal conflict between the Sudanese citizens and government.

“We have some raw images of George Clooney near the end of our journey,” Curry told The Huffington Post. “He’s just weary from talking to to all of these people, and you see him in this honest way, spelling out [why he’s committed]… I’d never expected to see him so unguarded. When you hear this, you get this sense of the man that maybe everything up till now has just hinted at…I had to email him to warn him about how revealing this hour would be.”

With the ever-growing crisis in Southern Sudan and the threat of a possible genocide, we’re sure this hour-long special is going to be intense.

Check out “Winds Of War: George Clooney In Sudan,” tonight at 10 p.m. (ET) on NBC.

Veld donates money to farm animals and also serves them

Lest we be confused that their giant V logo stands for anything other than Veld.

Trading beef for beans is not a solution, veganism is

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
