The current article you are reading does not reflect the views of the current editors and contributors of the new Ecorazzi

Earlier this summer, Ecorazzi reported that LG and the Broadway community were teaming up to help make The Great White Way…well, a little greener.

To continue their partnership, Broadway star Patti LaBelle recently accepted LG’s donation of a new Wave Series energy-efficient washer and dryer on behalf of the Eugene O’Neill Theater — where she is currently staring in FELA!

Is laundry such a big deal for Planet Earth? If you’re a Broadway theater, the answer is a definite yes!

LG predicts that their new energy-efficient models will save theaters an estimated 146,000 Kilowatt hours of electricity and 1.5 million gallons of water annually, for a total savings of $23,000 a year! That’s enough to light all of the marquees on Broadway for three months! Not bad at all!

Check out LG.com to learn more about their mean, green eco appliances, and visit FELAonBroadway.com to get the last remaining tickets before closing night!
