Although tonight might be the season finale of Oxygen channel’s Running Russell Simmons, that doesn’t mean Russell and his team are taking a break from their many important projects.

Simmons’ vegan assistant and good friend of Ecorazzi Simone Reyes recently sat down with VegetarianStar.com to discuss her experience as an activist and reality star.

“I joined the animal rights movement about 15 years ago by hooking up with a local, pretty radical group called Activists For Animals, says Reyes. “We were small, but loud and powerful.”

Reyes loves vegan/eco-fashion and shared some of her favorite things in the style section of Star magazine earlier this year, including products by Stella McCartney, Urban Decay, and Cride Coeur.

“I…get great tips from GirlieGirlArmy.com — that always has new designers showcased who are offering cruelty-free options,” says Reyes.
