For those of you who don’t know, True Blood is a delicious show with two leading men, Alexander Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer, and everyone has a favorite (hello, Eric). In the spirit of that my vamp is better than your vamp kinda mentality, True Blood fans came up with a way to find out a way to let the best man win while also giving back to a great cause.

The Battle Of The Fang asked Team Bill and Team Eric fans to raise money to prove which blood sucker really reigns supreme. The actors each selected a charity, Gulf Aid and SOS Children’s Villages, and then raised money throughout season 3. The battle was fierce, but Team Bill prevailed by earning $35,043 for Gulf Aid, while Team Eric came in close at $34,223 for SOS Children’s Villages. This may be the result of Moyers offering prize giveaways in exchange for donations (including signed DVDs and scripts), but either way it’s money well spent.

The winning team also had another incentive to donate, as both Moyer and Skarsgard agreed to a photo sesh wearing a T-Shirt designed by the winning team (go Bill!). As you can see in the photo, the chosen designs read, “I Like My Bitches Blonde” and “Bill’s Bitch!” Yum yum yum, more please.

Since True Blood won’t return with new episodes for another six months, and lord knows a gal needs something she can sink her fangs into, this contest seems like a great way to pump up the fans and raise money for great causes!

**Correction from author: The Battle of the Fang was organized by Alexskarsgard.net and True Blood News, thank you for catching that folks and sorry fans!**
