James Cameron, director of the $2.7 billion grossing film “Avatar”, is spreading some holiday cheer this year by giving an Oprah-inspired bonus to some of the cast members.

Cameron and producer John Landau have reportedly bought eleven Priuses to distribute to the principle actors. Not only are these eco friendly gifts, but seeing famous faces behind the wheels of hybrid cars inspires others to follow suit and perhaps buy an environmentally friendly vehicle over a gas guzzler.

With Priuses starting at $22,800, Cameron and Landau are dropping just over $250,000 on the gifts. That might not seem like much compared to the billions of dollars the film made, but it sure is a thoughtful gift.
