What’s a girl to do for her 38th birthday? How about raise $38,000 to help provide clean drinking water to developing nations.

Alyssa Milano has asked her fans to donate money to Charity Water. She has already surpassed her goal and is currently up to $38,593 and still going strong.

She says in her plea to fans:

I have everything I need. All I want for my Birthday is to fund clean water projects in developing nations.

Water-borne illness is the second highest cause of childhood death in the world. When water is unsafe and sanitation non-existent, water can kill.

Last year Alyssa raised $92,568 for the organization and brought clean water to almost 5,000 people. If you want to be a part of it this year, click here to visit Alyssa’s donation page.

Good job ! Who would think that water was something special, unless you have to walk two miles to get it.

I am sure you have brought happiness to many people. Keep up the good work

So right, water so important but many people haven’t got easy acces to it. Not easy to imagine though, for most of us, including myself.
