Director and activist Michael Moore is in a merry mood this holiday season and using his joy to encourage others to give back. Under the alias of Santa, the controversial filmmaker recently wrote an article on The Huffington Post and revealed his six favorite holiday causes.

“Mrs. Claus, the elves, the reindeer and I are asking if you could make a last minute donation to one of the six worthy organizations I’ve listed below,” says Moore. “Or do it as a gift in someone else’s name and make that their Christmas present.”

So just what are Santa/Moore’s favorite organizations? Here’s a list of who’s on Michael’s nice list this year:

Wanna know why Michael thinks they’re so great! Visit HuffingtonPost.com to find out more and to learn how you can get involved!

The Innocence Project seems a very good project, the rest doesnt ring my bells so much.
    Especially overhyped Wikileaks, spare me.

I just loved Michael Moore and his docs but he seems a bit anti veg and not particularly green.

i saw the video in which an army helicopter fired and killed several people. its pretty obvious that the soldiers responsible for it made a big misstake, partly because they misstook the equipment that the journalists were carrying, as weapons. To say, as Michael Moore does in the Huffington Post, that these soldiers killed these people “in coldblood” is a bit far fetched and a remark that has to serve Moore’s anti war sentiment but doesnt serve “justice”, neither to the soldiers as to the victims.

He also fails to mention that Manning is being held not because of the video but because he stole a large amount of secret government documents.

you are wrong (as always) , indeed it is mentioned in the article that Manning is the source of the wikileaks documents.

quote from the article : “He is also believed to be the source of thousands of documents obtained by WikiLeaks ”

furthermore, Judge David, in our society, as part of a constant struggle to improve the high moral standards in our society, there is such a thing as “innocent until proven guilty”. So you better keep your remarks about “manning stole secret documents” in your mental freezer, until that is a proven fact.

No actually you are wrong unless you can show some proof that I am always wrong.

“…in our society, as part of a constant struggle to improve the high moral standards in our society, there is such a thing as “innocent until proven guilty”. So you better keep your remarks about “manning stole secret documents” in your mental freezer, until that is a proven fact.”

There you are being wrong again. The presumption of innocence is in the Judicial system I can decide whatever I want based on the evidence that I have been presented with.

‘quote from the article : “He is also believed to be the source of thousands of documents obtained by WikiLeaks ”’

Great quote herwin, but as you have a done in the past you cut and paste your quote to make it look like it says something that it doesn’t. How about we look at the whole statement?

“If I witness a crime while making my rounds on Christmas Eve, and I report it, I’m considered a hero. (Sometimes there’s reward money!) Private Bradley Manning of the United States Army allegedly came across video of his fellow soldiers gunning down and killing in cold blood two reporters from Reuters and a group of Iraqis who were civilians. He apparently decided to report this crime to the American people. For this, he has been arrested and thrown into the brig — where he has sat in tortuous solitary confinement for seven months. He is also believed to be the source of thousands of documents obtained by WikiLeaks which show the disgusting and immoral behavior of your government and Pentagon as they’ve prosecuted two illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a true travesty taking place and it’s being done in your name. Please contribute to his legal defense fund and please send him a holiday card at:”

Gee, you are wrong for the third time in one post. It says that he was arrested and thrown in the brig for reporting the videos to the American people. It then tangentially mentions the WikiLeaks situation with no connection to his being arrested.

Maybe you will get a conscience for Christmas and stop making posts you know are lies.

        Philosopher David says
“Great quote herwin, but as you have a done in the past you cut and paste your quote to make it look like it says something that it doesn’t.”

i cut and paste somebodies elses quote, it isnt my quote. its a relevant quote. I cant follow your logic, so now you accuse me of quoting a sentence from an article, and i make that quote look like something it doesnt say ?
Really ? Seems like i have magical powers like Harry Potter, eh.

Judge David says : “I can decide whatever I want based on the evidence that I have been presented with.”

And what evidence have you’ve “been presented” ?
the CIA gave you some secret intel we dont know ?

And you are wrong, if you make wrong acusations, theoretically Manning coud sue you. As have done countles famous people when false aqusations have been published by the sewer media.
Anyway, since you are nothing more then a little mindless trol he probably won’t though.

“No actually you are wrong unless you can show some proof that I am always wrong.”

urm, David, sometimes people say things that you shouldnt take to literally. Okay, maybe you are only wrong 9 out of 10. Happy now ?

Maybe you need remedial reading classes?

You cut a single statement out of the complete paragraph in an attempt to claim that my statement was wrong. But as is often the case with your posts, you actually twisted what I said and claimed, “you are wrong (as always) , indeed it is mentioned in the article that Manning is the source of the wikileaks documents.”

I never claimed the article didn’t mention him as the source of the WikiLeaks documents, I claimed that the article didn’t mention that his arrest was for the WikiLeaks documents, which is the truth. And if you had quoted the whole paragraph it would have been obvious that you were wrong.

“And what evidence have you’ve “been presented” ?
the CIA gave you some secret intel we dont know ?”

No CIA connection, just the words of the person who turned him in that Manning claimed to be the source of the leaked documents. So we have him claiming to be the source before the documents were even public, so only someone involved would know what documents were involved and he had access to the documents in question. Based on that data his guilt is a reasonable inference.

“…theoretically Manning coud sue you.” So Lawyer herwin, I can sue you for saying I am always wrong? Do you really believe what you wrote? I as a private citizen make a statement in the comments section of a website and you really believe that I can be sued over that?

Well ‘theoretically’ anybody can sue anybody else for anything. But in reality he has no case and no decent attorney would take the case you theorize about. He would have to prove that the statement was false. Then he would have to prove that the statement caused him harm. Then he would have to prove that the statement was made without adequate research into the truthfulness of the statement. And since you claim he is a famous person, he would then have to prove that the statement was made with the intent to do harm. I believe he would have major problems with the first requirement and I don’t see any way he could prove the third or the fourth. So you will excuse me if I don’t lose any sleep over his possible lawsuit.

Urm, herwin, maybe you should write what you mean. Then people wouldn’t have to try and interpret your ramblings.

When did I ever say I wasn’t happy? In reality (I believe it is a place you rarely visit), pointing out your poor logic and lack of reasoning ability brings a little more happiness into my life. Exposing fools like you is one of my hobbies.
