Dame Elizabeth Taylor was honored for her AIDS charity work this past Wednesday, February 9th at the amFAR event in New York.

Taylor, who is the founding international chairman of AmfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research and the Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation (ETAF), has been an active, longstanding supporter of the fight against AIDS, spending much of her time fundraising for the cause.

Along with honoring Taylor, Former US President Bill Clinton was also honored, heading the AIDS research fundraiser in southern France last year, as well as fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, who was apart of the amfAR event in Milano this past September.
