True Blood Actors Auction Script For Charity

Even though True Blood is all about sexy vampires resisting the urge to kill the ones they love, in real life the stars of the show are all about giving back.

Last year actors Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard showed love for charity by posing for photos and auctioning off personal items. And now Anna Paquin is starting off the year by auctioning off a True Blood script signed by Paquin, Moyer, and creator Alan Ball.

You can see the actual script up for auction (pictured), and place bids knowing that all funds raised will be going to the Darnell Family (last October, Moyer and Paquin raised $2,200 for the cause by auctioning off items).

The recently married couple heard about Kirk Darnell and his family, their story so inspiring them that they have remained involved ever since. 47-year-old Kirk died of a sudden heart attack last year, and then in August his wife and 10-year-old daughter were struck and killed by a car, so in the span of eight months this left their four remaining children without parents and mourning the loss of their sister.

The story of the Darnell Family is heartbreaking, and the True Blood fan sites have been working together to promote the cause. Paquin and Moyer will be auctioning off the script “Evil is Going On,” which was the finale script of Season 3.

So, if you want to support the Darnell family (and perhaps get a piece of fan swag), go ahead and bid on the script at eBay— the auction closes on Feb. 24th, and last time we checked it was only at $385, so bid away!

Stop calling vegan food “cruelty-free”

Many vegans proudly proclaim that their food is “cruelty-free” as though issues of justice and injustice begin and end with our use of nonhuman animals.

If you’re a vegan who has had to deal with this, and especially if you come from a background of being abused in other ways, you are absolutely not alone
