We told you about rumors that were circulating as to Marion Cotillard being cast as Catwoman in the next Batman installment. But, of course, those were quickly squashed when it was announced that our veg favorite Anne Hathaway had snagged the role.

Now it’s being reported that Cotillard is once again being considered for a part in the Christopher Nolan film The Dark Knight Rises, this time as a potential romantic interest for Christian Bale.

Over the past few weeks, director Nolan has been meeting with actresses like Kate Winslet, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts to try and fill the role. A rep for the 35-year-old said that the actress is currently “in discussions, but nothing has been confirmed yet.”

The deal was reported to be official by French newspaper Le Figaro , but nothing seems to be quite on the books as of yet.

We would love to see Cotillard reunite with her Inception director! She has been an outspoken warrior for Greenpeace and made conscious efforts to increase awareness about environmental issues. Though we wonder if the fact that Cotillard is pregnant with her first child may thwart any plans for casting…

Would anyone else like to see Cotillard join the cast??
