We told you that Michael Vick was going to appear on Oprah next Thursday, but now that interview has been canceled.

Why? Vick said in a statement, “After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview scheduled for February 22. I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future.”

Originally, Oprah had a bet going with Piers Morgan that she would get a sit down interview with Vick first. Before Vick would even agree to come on the show, Oprah had to cancel the wager. Vick didn’t want to be associated with any betting… even if it was just £200 and bragging rights.

With a history of gambling over the lives of dogs, making sure there was no money involved was probably a good move.

At this point, would you tune in for an interview with Vick? Or would you rather the football player stay out of the spotlight?
