Every year blogger Perez Hilton hosts a celeb filled birthday bash with guests like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Leona Lewis and more. And really, who wouldn’t want an invite to that? Lucky for us, Perez is giving his fans an opportunity to get a VIP ticket to the event all while raising money for the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

As part of his commitment to give back to gay and lesbian youth, Perez has dedicated his soon-to-be 33rd birthday to raising money through his CrowdRise page. On the page he writes, “All I want for my birthday March 23 is for you to donate to GLSEN, a non-profit whose work I really support! Even $1 helps! http://bit.ly/fP37rb.” As part of the incentive for donating, Perez is offering the top three donors, plus their guests, an opportunity to attend his bday bash on March 26th!

Crowdrise was started by actor Edward Norton as a platform to encourage giving back through donations, not focusing on any specific cause but instead promoting giving in general.

“The best gift anyone could give me this year is a donation to GLSEN,” Perez said. “I was so moved last year by all the stories of bullying and gay suicides. This is one tangible way I can help make a big difference! Any donation, as small as one or two dollars, will help!”

Recently, Perez was honored with a PETA award for animal-friendly blogging, and this latest move to raise funds for a great cause is more than admirable. If you want to learn how to donate you can find out more here, and watch Perez’s video explaining the cause and his party below!

Why Vegetarianism Makes No Sense From A Moral Perspective

I don’t consider my years as a vegetarian as a stepping-stone or prerequisite to veganism

I hope I win the ‘Pig Farmers of Tomorrow’ contest I entered (I’m vegan)

I think I’ll likely have the most interest in pigs of anyone applying, anyway.

Hopefully Jon & Tracey Stewart use their new farm for vegan education

They’ve promised classes on caring for animals and sustainable agriculture, so vegan 101 would be a great place to start.
