To prevent his children from gaining that snobby sense of entitlement (some) celebrity kids seem to acquire growing up, LA Galaxy soccer star David Beckham brings his children on hospital visits to make them realize how lucky they are, and that not all children get the chance to live the lifestyles they do.

Beckham and wife Victoria believe it’s important that their 3 sons Brooklyn (11), Romeo (8), and Cruz (5) learn to appreciate the fortunate lives they’ve been given. After a recent visit to the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Beckham reportedly told British TV show Daybreak, “My boys have come to hospital visits before and as hard as it is, you know, it’s important that they see… you know, what life is like sometimes.”

The visit was part of the Galaxy Caravan – Countdown to Kickoff, and not only was each patient able to take a photo with the team, but they also received Galaxy gifts and autographs.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
