As promised, here is the new PSA for the high speed rail campaign organized by the advocacy group U.S. PIRG.

The vid features Vincent Kartheiser & Rich Sommer, stars of the hit series “Mad Men” discussing the future price of gas, and how the high-speed rail is bound to be a success.

“I am delighted to have worked with U.S. PIRG on this project to raise awareness about high-speed rail,” said Kartheiser.  “Despite all of the actions I take to reduce my carbon footprint, I am a terrible polluter because I fly so many miles.  High-speed rail is more efficient, convenient, and environmentally responsible than flying or driving.”

President Obama has stated that he’d like to have 80% of Americans with access to high-speed rail within the next 25 years – so let’s hope this clip gets more people interested in backing the campaign. Check it out after the jump below.
