Scarlett Johansson Honored For Support Of LGBT Community

The Human Rights Campaign is holding its annual HRC Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, where Scarlett Johansson will be honored with their Ally for Equality Award.

Johannson recently started to get involved with aid efforts in Haiti, but this particular award recognizes efforts made on behalf of the LGBT community, and is given to those who have dedicated their time, energy, and spirit to better the lives of LGBT people.

“Scarlett Johansson has been a tremendous friend to the LGBT community and has for many years used her celebrity and talents to advocate for our rights,” HRC Los Angeles Gala Co-Chair Andrew Arnold stated. “We appreciate and honor her support as an ally with this award.”

The gala will be held at the Ritz-Carlton/JW Marriott in Los Angeles, and will feature appearances from Jessie Tyler Ferguson of “Modern Family” and celeb trainer Jillian Michaels of the “Biggest Loser.” Typically the event draws more than 1,000 eager guests, and if you want to be part of the evening, tickets are still on sale (granted, it’ll cost you $275 for the cheap seats, and up to $400 for the VIP treatment).

      Homosexuality & GID are bad causes. Homos&lesbians are group based on sexual behavior & not comparable to Blacks. Transexuals are mutilated opposite sex members. I’m against a Dr. mutilating a man (some cases women) to make them artificial women for the same reason as I’m against a Dr. putting a tail on a person because they think they’re an animal instead of a person.

      Homos&lesbians (see Dr. Whitehead’s studies) have more problems caused by homo&lesbian activities. Let me also say that I’m against sodomy both straight & homo. But what they must do is find the cure for homosexuality whatever the causes & a cure for homosexuality could eventually be found. I don’t care if mainstream psychology says it’s not a disease-go ahead & cure this. Homosexual activities whether they’re voluntary or forced are bad in & of themselves even if homo apologists want to call it bigoted. Homosexual activities need to be treated like pot use.

      Why people engage in this is complex-perhaps it’s a birth defect or perhaps it’s the result of sex abuse in youth which damaged their sexuality. Both straight & homo activities are chosen though orientation isn’t. But again, it’s about ending homosexual activities even if orientation doesn’t change.

      Maria, homosexuals are often to blame when they become victims of violent crimes. If a homosexual man is harass another man going to grab another man’s groin against his will & the man reacts by beating up or killing the homosexual, then the way I see it, the man reacted either justly or excess to a crime the homo committed. Men who beat up homosexuals have told me that this is why they did it & unless contrary proof arises, I believe the man’s story. Most homosexuals get beaten up or killed because they harass & abuse other men who react to this.

      Finally, science is never ending. Even those who don’t believe homosexuality needs to be cured admit that it’s possible that in the future a cure could be found for homosexuality. Maybe it’s a birth defect or maybe they engage in homo&lesbian sexual activities as a result of sex abuse. Regardless, it’s best for them to be celibate until a cure’s found.

    Sorry but don’t see homos&lesbians as a group comparable They’re a group based on sexual behaviors. Why is Ecorazzi writing about homosexual topics? This poster isn’t religious but men shouldn’t have sex with men & women shouldn’t have sex with women. Sex changes are mutilations. They must impose celibacy on homosexuals.

    Addd note, sex changes are surgically maiming a man or woman to make them an artificial member of opposite sex. In 2005, Martina Navratilova protested homosexual sheep experiments because of possibility that a cure for homosexuality could accidentally be found. Yet Martina Navratilova to my knowledge has not protested sex change maimings which were initially done on animals. Homos&lesbians have higher copathologies caused by homosexual & lesbian activities. Ecorazzi needs to get out of the homo issue.The world’s a better place without homosexual activities & without sex changes. Don’t see why you should lose sleep if a cure for homosexuality is eventually found.

      With animal cruelty, Ecorazzi overlooks the fact that sex changes are the result of experiments on animals, thus animal cruelty. What they must do is cure Gender Dysphoria (GID) & not surgically maim a man to make him an artificial woman. If Ecorazzi is serious about ending animal cruelty, then they must be against sex change mutilations & not be selective.

You may think it’s bigotry & closed mindedness, but again, there’s nothing wrong with being ‘bigoted’ against homo&lesbian activities just as there’s nothing wrong with being ‘bigoted’ against pot use. Perhaps Ecorazzi should also talk about how pot use is Okay if they’re going to discuss dangerous activities like homosexuality.

It’s a fact that homos&lesbians (esp. homosexual men) have higher copathologies. Homos have higher Venereal Disease (VD) rates. Homo AIDS victims have themselves. Sure straights can get AIDS & VD. Homosexuality is a topic dominated by politics.

    But Michael Raymer, it’s not bigoted IMO to be against homo&lesbian activities for the same reason as it’s not bigoted to be against pot smoking, though most people who smoke pot are willing adults. A cure for homosexuality be it drug, pill or surgery could eventually be found. I don’t see why you should lose sleep if in the future men no longer have sex with men & women no longer have sex with women. Homos&lesbians have more problems. If a cure for homosexuality is eventually found, you can be sure that there would be a huge business of homos&lesbians taking the cure to go straight. You believe in free will when it comes to engaging in homo activities yet why the hostility for curing this? Also impotence does benefit homos because it brings down the incidence of homosexual activities & the world’s a better place without this even if you think it’s bigotry.

        Read my other reply to both you & Don Miguel but the topic of homosexuality has no place here. Put aside whether 1 is against homosexual activities or an apologist for this like you. Ecorazzi is supposed to be discussing topics such as humane treatment of animals, how to make hunting humane, how to take care of pets & dogs & the work celebrities do to take care of animals. Topics such as dirty homosexuality has no place here. Yet why is Ecorazzi talking about topics like homosexuality?

      I don’t see why you should lose sleep if they have higher rates or not either, especially when you are not personally engaging in those activities. A bigot is “a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion,” and what I’m seeing fits the bill. Maybe not a religious one, in your opinion, but that IS a common line of thinking championed by the religious “right”, so I could see that as a reasonable assumption. They usually throw in that there is a cure as well – OH LOOK you did that too — Hmmm. The only Cure I know of would disagree with you, sing a lullaby to thousands of screaming fans, and then go home to his wife. Bigotry has a tradion of being intolerant to certain, larger issues- no one is a bigot just because their opinion is that they don’t like something. That hasn’t had quite the same history of turbulence and change that say, Civil Rights, Women’s Rights, and I’ll say it, Gay Rights has had.

      I should stop there, because arguing with people who are obviously not going to change their minds is kinda a waste, but now I’m on a roll. As you can see most other aren’t touching you’re comments with a, ahem, 10 foot pole.

      Really you are using the disguise (badly, I might add) that you want to help the world from disease, drug use and other things of that nature, but underneath you are full of fear, hatred, ego, anger, obviously right-leaning rhetoric/phraseology, and as Michael Raymer hinted, little sense of humor.

      Tell you what: when they find the cure for that, I’ll mail you the pill, cuz it’s just as likely.

      Ecorazzi can choose the topics they wish, but what’s the point of having a website which is supposed to be about humanely treating animals & then going into unrelated topics such as dirty homosexuality? I don’t BTW view homos&lesbians as a group comparable to Blacks. They don’t choose orientation but they choose sexual behavior. Homos & lesbians are a group based on sexual behavior.

        Ecorazzi has “broadened the scope” of its articles to include non-green issues about 3-4 months ago. I emailed them and that was their reply. I notice you haven’t taken issue with that on other non-green articles at ecorazzi yet. Quite revealing.

        Like I said before, when they make a pill for bigot trolls I will send you the maximum dose.
