The owners of a Canadian hobby farm recently found themselves on the receiving end of an exciting delivery— 5 exciting deliveries, to be exact.

The MacPhee family woke up one morning to find that their lamb Cherry had given birth to quintuplets, a rare birth event that only occurs in 1 – 2% of lamb pregnancies.

Cherry herself was born a triplet, and has given birth to triplets twice before— so I suppose it was only a matter of time before she hit the mother load!

While four of the lambs seem to be doing fine, there is a runt in the bunch. Although, so far, the 5th weaker lamb has been eating well and will remain under close observation for the next few days.

The ram responsible for the pregnancy has been renamed “Stud Muffin,” though reports say his name change has got him feeling a little sheepish.

These innocent babies are cuter than cute! What’s next for the adorable quintuplets? Winding up as lamb chops on someone’s dinner plate?

They live on a hobby farm, so most likely will remain as pets!
