Remember Myspace? In today’s Facebook-centric world, it’s sometimes hard to remember that Myspace used to be the place for social networking. Nevertheless, it’s still a force (currently the 68th most visited site in the world) and for Earth Hour 2011, they’ve graciously allowed Miranda Kerr to “hijack” the main site.

The 27-year-old is this year’s global ambassador for the event (kicking off tomorrow at 8:30PM) and will be taking over Myspace, curating all the content on the homepage – including her favorite music, fashion and several playlists featuring past and present Earth Hour ambassadors and supporters.

“As the global ambassador for Earth Hour this year I’m excited to be in a position to reach out to the Myspace audience for such an important cause. It will be fun to share the things I love with such a huge global community as well as this year encouraging as many people as possible to go ‘beyond the hour’ and adopt even more sustainability practices in their everyday lives,” she said.

Check out some of Ker’s picks by hitting the main Myspace page here.
