Martha Stewart has worked tirelessly to make domestic responsibilities chic and exciting (seriously, ever made a dinner party centerpiece out of leaves and nuts?). So we were super excited to hear that the domestic goddess was planning a vegan episode of “The Martha Stewart Show.”
On the show, Stewart is planning to host some famous vegans to help her get into the animal-free cooking moode. It’s being reported that Twitter co-founder Biz Stone will help Martha make seitan bourguignon, and author Kathy Freston will show the audience how to make vegan fruit and nut bars, while sharing her tips for adding more vegan meals into your diet. [Update: Farm Sanctuary's Gene Baur will also make an appearance!]
We can’t wait to see the episode, which airs Wednesday, March 30th at 10 a.m. on The Hallmark Channel. It also seems like this might be a growing talk show trend, as Martha’s show is following in the footsteps of Oprah’s recent vegan challenge episode.
