During the height of his sex addiction, Russell Brand was sleeping with as many as five women per day. Now, he’s married to Katy Perry and has learned to redirect those urges into more productive activities. Such as gardening.

The vegetarian and comedian said, “I can’t believe I used to have sex 20 times a week, especially now I’m married. But now I’m a bloody good gardener.”

Brand married singer Katy Perry last October in India. He said about his addiction, “I take it one step at a time — like with drugs, like with alcohol. Don’t look at things as in ‘rest of life’. Of course marriage is for life and that’s what I wanted, but anything for the rest of life can be daunting.”

Well, if you take PETA’s word for it, sex and vegetables can go together quite swimmingly. However, we doubt Brand is rolling around with a bunch of asparagus or fondling a pumpkin while he gardens.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
