Celebrated fashion designer Vivienne Westwood is getting quite an unconventional gift from her friend Pamela Anderson for her 70th birthday. 70 acres of endangered rainforest in Peru.

No, it’s not the kind of gift Ms. Westwood will use as a vacation spot. The gift is through the organization Cool Earth, and the money spent will allow them to protect the fragile forest from loggers and cattle ranchers.

Anderson said about the gift to her friend, “I’m really excited to support Cool Earth and give Vivienne such an incredible rainforest gift. She is one of my favorite people.”

This won’t be Westwood’s first time supporting Cool Earth. Last December she helped promote the organization’s coffee brand to help raise funds to save the Peruvian rainforest.
