Disneynature is getting ready to release its third feature length documentary this weekend, “African Cats“, and to celebrate they’ve providing three of our readers the chance to win this beautiful “Making of the Film” coffee table book. So yea, it’s a big hardcover glossy thing. You’ll love it.

As we mentioned previously, Diznatch (that’s what all the cool kids call it. No, seriously) is once again using the opening weekend to raise money for a charity connected to the film’s characters. For 2008′s “EARTH”, they worked with The Nature Conservancy to plant 2.7 million trees in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest. In 2009, they saved over 35,000 acres of coral reef in the Bahamas for “OCEANS”.

This year, funds raised during the opening weekend will benefit the African Wildlife Foundation to protect the Amboseli Wildlife Corridor, a passage between the Amboseli, Tsavo West and Chyulu Hills National Parks that is frequently used by lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, giraffes and a host of other animals in the African savanna. Thanks to pre-sales, over 9,500 acres has already been protected.

I would love to win this product because I love African cats(well, all animals actually, but I really love the big cats), and I need a new, good coffee table book because I’ve had Sharkwater on the coffee table for over a year. Great contest!

I adore wild cats because of their beauty and grandeur, and because they remind me of their smaller domestic relatives (until they go on the hunt!).

I would love to win this book for my daughter who is turning 10 at the end of the month. She loves all things big cats, watches countless shows about them on nature channels, has a big cat collection, and has been researching charities to donate to that are helping to save them. She would be so excited to win this!
