For years Bob Barker ended each episode of The Price is Right with the phrase, “Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered.” Well, this little guy named Hank got the message loud and clear. He had his bad boys snipped off to help his fellow canines.

Some might ask, how does getting my dog or cat fixed help animals? Well, in the USA alone, between six and eight million animals are sent to the shelter every year. Only half of those animals are adopted. The other half are euthanized.

Sadly, it’s not just a matter of finding more homes. Some estimates say that while 10,000 humans are born in the USA everyday, 70,000 dogs and cats are born. With numbers like those, there will never ever be enough homes for all the kittens and puppies being born. Bob Barker knows, spaying or neutering your companion saves lives. Hank knows it too. Way to go guys!
