AGREED.

After reading an article about a New Jersey woman who was charged with torturing her pit bull puppy by starving it and throwing it 19 stories down a garbage chute, Eva Longoria and Alyssa Milano have begun their support for an online petition that will call for more severe punishment of those convicted of animal abuse.

Longoria has posted the link to her twitter, to which Milano adds, “if you love animals, please consider signing this.”

Also on the petition signing bandwagon is Julie Benz, who claims they need 5,000 signatures (the count is currently at 4,952) and further backed by Eliza Dushku.

The Jersey woman, Kisha Curtis, is currently facing 18 months in jail or a $3,000 fine if convicted.
