With Disneynature’s “African Cats” hitting theaters today, the studio has taken the wraps off their next big Earth Day feature called “Chimpanzee”.

Unlike their previous films, this one has a real story to it – focusing on a baby chimp named Oscar who becomes orphaned and raised by another. The entire thing seems so incredibly scripted that it’s really hard to believe the cameras were just there at the right time, right place. I want to believe, Disney – I do! Don’t mess with us.

So absolutely – check out the below trailer for all the heartwrenching cuteness you can handle. This ball of Awww hits next April. Just like the others, expect the opening weekend to be a huge fundraiser for some chimp-focused conservation org.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.

Filing a case in the courts is a time-consuming and expensive affair and, sadly, doomed to fail because, by and large, the laws of the land reflect the views of the people.
