Hooray for Google’s 2011 Earth Day logo – the first animated commemorative artwork since the search engine company started honoring the date back in 2001.

If you haven’t seen it yet, hit the main Google page here and be sure to roll your mouse over the different creatures. The fish in particular gets screwed.

Keeping with tradition on this site, I’ve updated our one sheet of Google Earth Day logo from year’s past. Hit the jump below to view!

I think it’s the best Google Doodle I’ve ever seen!! I just wish we were able to save it in .gif form, since I always save the doodles I love…but anyway, yay Earth Day!!~<3

  3. Michael- wow, not only you did accept advise for posting the Google Earth Day 2011 logo description, but you completely erased ours and other people’s previous comments! Do you think your blog is going to prosper for long with such a hypocritical behavior? And to think that we almost started an article about your post at so friendly…

    • You comment was in our spam filter (due to the inclusion of a hyperlink most likely). I’ve restored it. I don’t see any other comments that were erased, but please advise if that was the case.
