Malaria No More Comedy Show Raises $750,000!

Last week, the organization Malaria No More put on a live show called “Hollywood Bites Back” featuring comedians like Sarah Silverman, Conan O’Brien, Elizabeth Banks, and The Office star B.J. Novak.

Thanks to fundraising during the event, an incredible $750,000 was raised to help end Malaria in Africa – a goal the organization hopes to achieve by 2015. Highlights from “Bite Back” are expected to be available on Monday April 25th – which also happens to be World Malaria Day.

Something else cool to note: Malaria No More co-founder Ray Chambers was named to TIME’s 100 Most Influential List for his work in helping to fight the disease. He’s in good company with some other famous activists like Matt Damon, Gary White, and Colin Firth. Congrats!
