BIZARRE: Charlie Sheen and Snoop Dogg Release Rap Song For Charity
Looks like Charlie Sheen’s midlife crisis/nervous breakdown/drug binge has taken another interesting turn. As the falling star has teamed up with Snoop Dogg to release a rap single titled… wait for it… “WINNING.”
The good part is that Sheen has been on a GIVING trend lately; donating proceeds from his tour to Japan and Haiti, and hosting a bi-polar awareness walk. This latest career move is no exception, as all proceeds from the download of the song will go to benefit his Torpedos Against Tornados charity foundation, which aims to provide financial assistance to the victims of the tornadoes in Tuscaloosa.
The song was co-written by Rob Patterson of the band Korn, who said, “Look, it’s a good song. But I honestly don’t want people to take it seriously. It’s meant to be fun and entertaining.”
While Charlie explained the meaning as, “Well, the genesis of the song is about, you know, winning. It’s just everything in life.” Then added, “I think Snoop did a really good job at kind of encapsulating the whole vibe of you know the movement.”
The song is set to air on radio stations today, and be available for purchase tomorrow, but just to give you an idea of what to expect, the track starts out with Carmen Electra saying, “Oh, good evening, Mr. Sheen. Are you winning?”
Snoop then interjects by rapping, “No, he’s smokin’ right now!”
Afraid this may be too naughty for your kids? Not to fear, the song will be available on iTunes in both a family friendly version in addition to the hardcore rap version.
