A 39-year-old rare white rhinoceros recently died at the Czech zoo, leaving only a few of the endangered species left of the rhino population.

It is said that the rhino, Nesari, died in her sleep of old age last week, and the zoo is now only left with Nabire, a 30 year old northern white rhino. Last December, the zoo had moved four of its white rhinos to a game park in Kenya with hopes that they would feel more apt to breed if put in more natural settings than captivity.

Only a few of these northern white rhinos now remain: 2 at the San Diego zoo, and 3 or 4 that are said to be roaming the Sudan, but have not been seen since last year.
