Paul and Mira Sorvino Hold Diabetes-Friendly Recipe Contest

The current article you are reading does not reflect the views of the current editors and contributors of the new Ecorazzi

Since 2006 Paul Sorvino has been living with Type 2 diabetes. In an effort to combat his illness and to educate others, Paul and his daughter Mira have their own website devoted to healthy living and facts about diabetes.

Now, they want more people in on the action. They are holding a recipe contest that will be judged on how “interesting, unusual or exciting the recipe is, whether it is easy to follow and if it’s diabetes-friendly.”

If you have a great diabetes-friendly recipe, enter it in the contest for your chance to meet the father/daughter team and prepare your recipe with them at the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival.

I know we’ve got tons of plant based eaters on Ecorazzi who have fabulous recipes they are just dying to share. Dr. Neal Barnard gave us some great advice on eating a healthy diet a while back, especially for people with Type 2 diabetes.

Check out the interview to see how you can perfect your recipe to submit to the Sorvinos!
