After donating $250,000 last December when the Pacific Marine Mammal Center was flooded, Bob Barker finally got to celebrate the reopening of the facility.

The storm, which was the worst disaster in the 40 year history of the PMMC, left them unable to treat sea lions in need of medical attention. Thanks to Bob Barker, those animals again have a place to go when they turn up injured on the beach. He recently attended the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the doors once again being open to marine mammals.

The organization was so thankful for Barker’s support, they named one of the Sea Lions after The Price is Right star. Barker quipped that there was certainly a family resemblance between him and the newly named Barker.

The long time animal advocate and vegetarian seems to be coming to the aid of many marine mammals lately. Last week he did a PSA for PETA asking the public to rethink taking the family to places like SeaWorld.
