While touring Melbourne, Australia, the Dalai Lama announced that he’d be donating $100k to a local charity.

The 20th Man Fund aims to eliminate homelessness in Victoria, and advocates on behalf of young people and adults who have fallen victim to poverty.

His holiness revealed the donation while giving a public talk in Melbourne, and the charity’s founder, Les Twentyman, was taken completely by surprise.

“He just said, ’I’d like to contribute to your charity. I want to make a donation of $100,000,’” Les explained. “I almost fell off the stage. People had to grab the chair and push it back. It was all in Tibetan so I didn’t understand it at first’.”

Veld donates money to farm animals and also serves them

Lest we be confused that their giant V logo stands for anything other than Veld.

Trading beef for beans is not a solution, veganism is

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
