It’s not just Los Angeles that’s into hippie shit (aka yoga), as “Bent on Learning,” a non-profit in New York City, aims to teach yoga to children enrolled in the NY public school system. The group held a star studded gala to raise awareness and funds this week, and honored vegan and yoga enthusiast Russell Simmons at the event.

“If you can put your foot behind your head and smile and breathe, then someone can yell at you and you can keep your composure,” Simmons said at the gala, where he was an honoree.

The non-profit functions off of the idea that having kids practice yoga will improve their health, well-being, and self esteem, and along with the celebs at the event there were also several students in attendance who even demonstrated their knowledge of positions for the audience.

Have any of our readers seen the benefits of practicing yoga in their own lives??

Veld donates money to farm animals and also serves them

Lest we be confused that their giant V logo stands for anything other than Veld.

Trading beef for beans is not a solution, veganism is

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
