Leona Lewis is beautiful, a tremendous singer, and her career was mentored by Simon Cowell— those are some pretty amazing lots in life! Luckily, she’s not keeping it all to herself, and is using her fame and voice to promote the cause of the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch, an animal sanctuary in Texas.

The ranch is run by the Humane Society of the United States, and is the largest and most diverse animal rescue in America. It houses more than 1,200 domestic and exotic animals, rescued from circuses, zoos, hunting grounds, factory farms, and research laboratories.

In the PSA announcement she recorded for the ranch, she talks about how she became a vegetarian, and why it’s so important to support organizations like this one. We see her interacting with horses, primates, and even a kangaroo at one point. Considering that she has become an activist against using animals in circuses, and even got a tattoo to support the Humane Society, it shouldn’t be any surprise that she’s lending her time to this worthy cause.

Watch the footage from her day on the ranch below!
