John Legend knows the importance of ensuring that America’s kids get a quality education. That’s why the singer has signed on to do a series of PSA’s with Proctor & Gamble to raise funds for the organization Communities in Schools.

Communities in Schools works to “surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.” Certainly a worthwhile cause, especially considering how deeply troubled our public education system has proven to be.

Legend said about his motives for supporting the campaign, “I believe that making sure that every kid has a quality education is the key to making sure that every kid has the opportunity to pursue the American dream.”

The singer/songwriter seems to devote a lot of his efforts to children’s organizations. Earlier this month he attended the Samsung Hope For Children Gala.

(Note: I know Proctor & Gamble tests on animals and won’t disclose how many and does horrible horrible things to them – and I hate that too.)
