Fans of Ryan Gosling might already know about Ryan’s best friend, George. George rocks a mohawk, and he likes apples. George is also a dog.

Gosling showed up on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to promote his upcoming movie “Crazy Stupid Love” and brought George along with him. He explained George’s unique hairdo thusly: “He insists on it. Like ten years ago I shaved a mohawk, just for the summer, and every time it started to grow out, he turned into a total jerk.”

That’s one way to beat the heat, I guess…after all, with the heat wave that’s been hitting most of the country it’s important to make sure our pets are comfortable and stay cool.

George apparently accompanies Ryan pretty much anywhere, including on movie sets. In fact, Buzzfeed has compiled what it claims to be “every picture of Ryan Gosling and his dog on the internet.”
