True Blood star Kristin Bauer van Straten is sinking her teeth into a good cause by auctioning off the 1930s-style dress she wore to the show’s Season 3 premiere.

The dress, from designer Alicia Estrada’s “Stop Staring” collection, is black with red accents and a size small. The winner of the auction will receive the dress and a bonus 8×10 personalized photo of Bauer van Straten wearing the gorgeous garment.

Although she snacks on people on TV, in real life Bauer van Straten is a vegetarian and ardent animal-rights activist. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the International Fund for Animal Welfare, one of her favorite charities. The IFAW helps to save and protect animals in more than 40 countries.

The auction ends August 7, so get your bids in now, before it’s too late.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.
