We’ve kept you posted over the years about the drama with U2 lead guitarist Dave Evans (aka “The Edge”) and his plan to build a mountaintop eco-mansion in Malibu. The proposal called for five multilevel homes of up to 12,785 square feet to be built on 156 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains in a community called Sweetwater Mesa. Concerns were raised from some homeowners, as well as environmentalists, regarding environmental degradation.

Back in June we thought the battle had finally come to an end when his plans were denied by the California Coastal Commission – even though the homes would be some of the most eco-sensitive in the world. Now the rocker is fighting back and is suing the Commission.

The Edge jumped on board with the other property owners who are suing the California Coastal Commission because of the denied building permits. According to ABC Local, the lawsuit claims there are five separate property owners who want to build single homes on separate lots in Malibu.

Trading beef for beans is not a solution, veganism is

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
