Alexander Skarsgard may be sinking his teeth into a new project about an eco-terrorist group. Rumors are circulating that the True Blood hunk will join the flick with Brit Marling who co-wrote the film with Zal Batmanglij, who is also directing.

The East revolves around a female agent who infiltrates an eco-terrorist group. The title of the thriller refers to the group’s name. If these rumors are true and everything comes together, Skarsgard will play the terrorist group’s leader who is out for revenge against unethical corporations.

The movie will be produced by Michael Costigan and as of right now there is a possibility they will shoot in Nashville in October and November.

Skarsgard continues to make a name for himself as vampire Eric Northman and in the new flicks Straw Dogs, Melancholia and Battleship.

The actor has also been known for his relationship with Kate Bosworth, which fell through awhile back. Skarsgard is now currently shooting with Julianne Moore in the indie drama What Maisie Knew.
