Adam Lambert Thanks ‘Glamberts’ for Charity Support

Ever since Adam Lambert appeared on ‘American Idol,’ the talented singer has obtained a major fanbase widely known as ‘Glamberts.’ Well this past weekend, his fans were thanked personally by the organization mycharity: water for all of their support.

Lambert’s fans broke the mycharity: water records earlier this year after donating money for Lambert’s birthday campaign to help with the charity’s mission to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. For the singer’s 29^th birthday his goal was to raise $29,000, which was surpassed in just 5 hours and 30 minutes. So, the singer bumped up his goal to $290,000 and by the end of his campaign, mycharity: water raised more than $320,000. His fans truly do appreciate him and will support him no matter what!

As part of its fifth birthday celebration, mycharity: water has come together and created a thank you video for the ‘Glamberts,’ their support and their inspiration. Be sure to check out the video below.

In the past five years, the organization has funded enough water projects to give more than two million people clean water to drink. In addition, thanks to Lambert’s fans more than 16,000 people received clean water!

Currently, Lambert is supporting The Trevor Project by donating 30 percent of the proceeds from the sales of his Peace Pendant developed by Pennyroyal Silver. It seems like ‘Glamberts’ will do anything for their favorite artist, so The Trevor Project better get ready for some overwhelming support!

that thank you didn’t come from Adam it came from the charity:water people. He did thank his fans for the charity:water effort back in February (although on The Talk and Access Hollywood both times the host of the show brought it up, not Adam). Adam hasn’t thanked his fans for anything in a while though. He didn’t thank them for the DSA nomination or efforts around the aftermath remix to benefit the trevor project or already raising over 20k purchasing his penny royal peace pendant thus far. Guess he’s too ‘busy’ lately. He also didn’t thank his fans in the liner notes of his first album while every single person he worked with professionally and every single person important to him in his life garnered a mention. Guess we will see if fans are worthy of a mention on the 2nd album. Adam is always quick to give his fans a shoutout when an interviewer brings them up but lately he’s falling short in thanking them personally (via Twitter or his fan club site) for their support of him, his career and his projects and efforts. He’s changed lately.

  LOL you sound legit unhinged and a bit overinvested. I recommend taking a step back from the internet for a while. If you need to be thanked for giving to charity, you’re doing it wrong.

  LOL get a life. If you don’t want to give to the charities Adam supports unless you get a personal thank you, don’t. If you don’t like him because he doesn’t suck up to you in exactly the manner you wish, find another artist.

  You really like this out there? Why? saw you posted the same thing on anotehr site related to this “Thank you” from charity water. Adam initiates and if you wish to give, give…just like you would give to any other charity. The charity is right to say thank you to us as they are the ones benefiting from this , not Adam. Adam is only brining everybody to the same place for the cause. Ok now?

Thank you so much for recognising Adams charity work. He has supported charities including also Donors choose ever since he was on the Idols tour and found the amount of gifts he was getting becoming overwhelming, and decided to channel that generosity to good causes.
The total amount of money donated by Adams fans is now approaching $Millon.

  Maybe you’re just feeling too entitled. Adam has said his fans are amazing many times, thanked them many times over including recently during the DSA awards publicity.
  
  I don’t know about you, but I give to charity because I want to, because I believe in the cause I’m supporting, not for a personal acknowledgement from Adam. I think that’s kind of sad actually. I also think its sad that you choose this positive article to air your personal entitlement issues.

omg,lol and wth, what’s up with the first poster? I guess Adam is suppose to rush right into an interview, grab the mic and thank fans for giving to a charity before the interviewer says a word. I have seen this same comment by the same person on another site too. They are called trolls in my neck of the woods. Anywho thanks for the clever thank you Charity Water. I read how many people have recieved clean water in the last five years it is mind boggling.
