Vegan pizza and breast cancer awareness might not seem like a likely pair, but during October when it’s both national pizza month and breast cancer awareness month, you can indulge in bready, tomatoey, faux cheesy goodness and help raise money for the cause.

On October 1st, Scott’s Pizza Tour will be bringing passengers all around New York City to sample the best vegan pizza slices. The website says, “This tour will visit four pizzerias that feature vegan options. Every slice has been selected to appeal to both vegans and omnivores alike, so don’t be afraid to bring your non-vegan buddy.”

For $60, you’ll hop on a big yellow school bus down in the village, and eat a slice at each location using your “Pizza Tour Survival Kit.”

Scott’s brother Jon (a vegan) inspired this tour and will be joining in on the fun during his visit to the east coast. We guess he’ll be heading home before October 29th, which will be the meat lovers pizza tour.

$1 from each ticket sold during the month of October will be donated to the Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Have any ideas on where they’ll go? What are your favorite vegan pizza spots in NYC?
