Today is Katy Perry‘s 27th birthday. What does the California Gurl want, you ask?
The singer announced that she has set up a donations page to benefit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). She tweeted “Thanks for the sweet B-day messages! For my b-day I have set up a donation page @http://www.aspca.org/katyperry The voice for ANIMALS! Give if u can!” On her ASPCA page, Perry’s message says “Thank you to everyone for your donations! These funds will make a lot more kittens
(& other animals) happy in this world!”
This follows the recent news that her hubby Russell Brand has gone vegan after watching the film Forks Over Knives. He tweeted “I’m now vegan, goodbye eggs, hello vegan. RT @katyperry: Me & the Mr. just watched ‘Forks Over Knives’ it’s a pretty cool doc for anyone interestd 
You can get it on Netflix!” No word yet on whether or not Katy will join him.
