‘The Simpsons’ has pushed the boundaries for decades, but now, much to the dismay of environmentalists, one of their most memorable characters, Blinky the Fish, has become a reality.

A three eyed wolf fish was caught in a reservoir neighboring a nuclear power plant in Córdoba, Argentina. The fisherman who caught him said, “We were fishing and we got the surprise of getting this rare specimen. As it was dark at that time we did not notice, but then you looked at him with a flashlight and saw that he had a third eye.”

The emergence of the three eyed fish is understandably worrying local residents. The fisherman are sending the creature off for testing so it’s possible that we will find out soon whether this fish is an anomaly or a creation of the local nuclear power plant. Either way, it doesn’t look good for the fish.

As Gizmodo notes, the surfacing of a three eyed fish probably won’t help the nuclear plant owner’s run for local public office.
