Does this make up for the meat dress?
On Tuesday, Lady Gaga announced that she’s launching a non-profit organization to help empower youth and inspire bravery.
The Born This Way Foundation will focus on teaching self-confidence, anti-bullying, mentoring and more. According to Eonline, the foundation is partnering with other organizations to accomplish its mission, including the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, The California Endowment as well as the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.
The motto on the website reads, “This way, towards bravery, where youth are empowered. This way, towards acceptance, where humanity is embraced. This way, towards love, where individuality is encouraged. Join us, this way.” It also features a sign-up area to join.
Gaga released a statement about her plan for the foundation, saying, “Together we hope to establish a standard of Bravery and Kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment.”
The foundation will launch next year, and Gaga’s mother, Cynthia Germanotta, will help the singer run it. Way to empower the littlest monsters!
