Katy Perry’s albums create hit after hit on the radio. It’s no wonder her shows are continually a hit with fans. Happily, Perry is willing to share the love and cash from ticket sales with some lucky non-profits. More than $175,000 will be given out to over fifty organizations.
Three charities in particular will be getting sizable sums from the singer. The Humane Society of the United States, Generosity Water and Children’s Health Fund will all be receiving more than $40,000 each.
She’s not the only one in her family to make her shows count for a cause. Her husband Russell Brand is performing with Sarah Silverman in just two days. Tickets are free, but anyone who wants to attend has to donate two hours of their time to one of five non-profits. Looks like Perry and Brand are a perfect charitable match.
